Roedovre Centrum Sept. 26 5.30 PM - Adm. free

OG:

Husets Café Sept. 26 9 PM - Adm. 150 kr. Tickets: Billetto

Mitch Kashmar and John Marx have been on the road for many years and now on a tour together.
Their musical styles have a wide range of influences including Chicago Blues, New Orleans R&B,
West Coast Jump Blues and Swing, Boogie Woogie, Louisiana Swamp Rock, Texas Blues and
straight forward Jazz.
Harmonica master Mitch Kashmar started playing with local bands in Santa Barbara (CA), and
in 1980 he formed his own group, The Pontiax. The band performed up and down the West coast,
backing blues legends like Jimmy Witherspoon, Lowell Fulson, and Big Joe Turner and others.
The Pontiax broke up in 1989, and Kashmar moved on to a solo career. With his 1999 recording
"Crazy Mixed-Up World", he began making a name for himself. His next effort, "Nickels & Dimes",
featuring guitar great Junior Watson, was a major step forward. In 2006 he was nominated for a
Blues Music Award as Best New Artist Debut, and in 2007 as Best Instrumentalist - Harmonica.
When taking a break from his solo career, Mitch has also signed on for active duty with the latest
touring incarnation of the classic 70's funk-rock band War, and even made rock 'n' roll history, when
he appearied on stage alongside legendary British rocker Eric Burdon & War for a reunion concert in
2008 at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Singer/guitarist John Marx grew up on the East Coast but moved to L.A. in 1978. Over the years,
John has played, toured and recorded with blues luminaries William Clarke, Jimmy Witherspoon,
Larry Davis, Earl King, Floyd Dixon, Albert Collins, Lowell Fulson and Lightning Hopkins, and also,
Mitch Kashmir, on the CD “Live At Labatt.”
John Marx's first recording CD in over a decade "With A Feeling" from 2002 is a seamless blend of
all shades of the blues. His own band is called John Marx & The Blues Patrol, and in L.A., John is
celebrated as a guitar player's guitar player. Look forward to meeting these two gentlemen and their
impressive Blues universe.
